Our Dental Assistant program is comprehensive:

8 days of in-person lectures/labs at one of our dental offices (typically one Saturday or one Sunday per week)

7 weeks of online lectures at your pace (typically a few hours each day)

6 days of hands-on lab at one of our dental offices (typically one Saturday or one Sunday per week)
-
1 week of externship at a dental practice (typically Monday through Thursday)
-
A student to teacher ratio of 4:1

Deborah Steenland
Dir. of Academics
Deborah is the Director of Academics and a Dental Assisting Instructor at DCCA, and the Practice Director for Brookhaven Dental Associates, Johns Creek Dental Associates, Buckhead Dental Center and Brookhaven Oral Surgery.
Previously she was the Corporate Operations Manager at Blue Monster Management.
Deborah received her certificate of study in Dental Assisting from the Wake Forest University Bowman Gray School of Medicine and has been teaching Dental Assisting since 2019.

Gjyljeta (Jules) Kaleshi
Dir. of Bus. Dev.
Jules is the Director of Business Development and a Dental Assisting Instructor at DCCA, and a Patient Education Consultant at Clear Choice Implant Centers.
Previously she was the Ortho Department Manager at Blue Monster Management.
Jules completed the Dental Assisting Program at Southern Crescent Technical College and has been teaching Dental Assisting since 2019.

Dr. Jeffrey Chen
Principal/Instructor
Dr. Chen is a Guest Dental Assisting Instructor at DCCA and currently practices dentistry at Johns Creek Dental Associates.
Prior to that, Dr. Chen practiced in rural South Georgia where he helped the underserved community.
Dr. Chen received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) from the Medical College of Georgia.

Dr. Vik Bhatia
Principal/Instructor
Dr. Vik is a Guest Dental Assisting Instructor at DCCA and currently practices dentistry at Brookhaven Dental Associates.
He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Georgia Dental Association, the American Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Northwestern Dental Society of Georgia, and the Medical College of Georgia Alumni Association.
Dr. Vik received his Doctorate in Dental Medicine (DMD) from the Medical College of Georgia.

Andy Erler
Business Manager
Andy is the Business Manager at DCCA.
Previously he was a Director at the Recreational Group.
Andy received his Bachelor of Science from Virginia Tech.
